Quint 250 is the Ridge Road Fire District’s aerial ladder truck and one of two aerial apparatus that serve Greece, NY, responding to all fires within the town. The quint’s primary function is to provide search and rescue capabilities at fires and other hazardous situations, as well as to support engine companies during fire alarm investigations and responses to hazardous conditions by providing elevated access. In 2025, this company responded to over 1,600 incidents out of the Headquarters stations on Long Pond Rd.

The quint carries specialized equipment for search operations, structural ventilation, and rope rescue. The crew assigned to Quint 250 also cross-staffs the district’s Rescue 258, which is equipped with highly specialized tools for vehicle extrication, water rescues, and many other types of rescue operations.

A QUINT aerial differs from traditional ladder trucks by offering capabilities similar to a small fire engine, including its own pump, hose, and water tank. These features, combined with the aerial ladder, allow the quint to provide a wide range of services and effectively supplement engine company responses during periods of high call volume.

Then, again, aren't you guys getting a tractor drawn ariel

Their original “aerial” device, a 1964 American-LaFrance 900 70ft AreoChief snorkel, was tagged Truck 1 - there was a countywide apparatus renumbering in 1971? and 1972?, and the snorkel was assigned 250 - it kept that number in 1972, when it went into reserve status, when they purchased a 1972 A-L mid-mount 100ft aerial (no pump) numbered L251

Wegmans always donates so much to local groups that are helping the rest of us, and they do it quietly and without asking for recognition. I am a loyal Wegman's shopper and that is one reason why.

Thank you 😊 ❤️ Wegmans and firefighters!!

I love Wegmans. They’re so thoughtful good people.
