Public Warning System

We provide a Public Warning System for our community in the event of extraordinary circumstances that can adversely affect our community. These circumstances may include severe weather bulletins, hazardous materials releases, terrorist attacks, etc.

Every Saturday at the noon hour, our Public Safety Dispatchers test the Public Warning System. The test is to help ensure that the system is functioning properly. If you live in a 2 to 4 mile area surrounding the West Ridge Rd & Long Pond Road area, we recommend that you become familiar with the types of alerting sounds we use.

  • LISTEN... Public Warning (followed by a message)

After listening, close the window to return
