Community Emergency
Response Teams
With all the recent natural disasters ask yourself - ARE YOU READY?
This is the first offering of CERT during the day. We hope to reach many of our residents and people in the workplace that are unable to attend night classes.
CERT prepares citizens to help themselves, their co-workers and
their neighbors during times of emergency.
In this course citizens will learn how to: turn on/off utilities, extinguish small fires, perform light search and rescue, organize to respond, utilize neighborhood volunteers effectively, collect disaster intelligence to support first responder efforts, basic emergency medical service including opening airways, controlling bleeding and treating for shock.
This training will teach you how to prepare for and deal with all types of natural and man-made disasters. This class is available for all Greece residents and those that work in the Town of Greece.
Come and see what CERT is all about.

Testimonial by Dan Burrell CERT Team Member...
“CERT training was a confidence builder. It provided knowledge and skills that will help my family survive and cope with any future emergency. The training also prepared me to help neighbors and my community in the event of any natural disaster”.
