The Ridge Road Fire District hires from an eligible list of district residents that have successfully completed a Civil Service Examination prepared and distributed by the Monroe County Office of Human Services. A local district list is first established, and when exhausted of viable candidates, a county list may be reviewed. The Greece Ridge Fire Department, Inc. may nominate qualified individuals that seek volunteer protective status. Under certain conditions, active members may live outside the district boundaries.
