This photograph (current website background) was taken at RRFD Headquarters during the 1970's, when life in the fire service and elsewhere, seemed much less complicated. Today, we're still putting water on fires the same way, but the fire service and the equipment we use today is all together different.
This image serves as a reminder of how much we've grown in a relatively short period of time. We have forged a rich history of providing the best public service possible to the citizens of the Ridge Road Fire District and Town of Greece since 1922. Through leadership and dedication, this level of service has only been possible through the tireless efforts of all the career and volunteer members of the department.
We pause from time to time to look back in appreciation for the generous service our members have given their community, but only for a moment-- the alarm bell will surely ring and we'll be out the door to serve again and again.
